A sunrise departure for the final day of the BRRLIR in Kuah Harbour! As the weather forecast predicted very light airs, all boats were out on the harbor early today to make sure that “the early boat catches the wind!”

Today Langkawi turned on some, as the late Capt Marty would have said: “champagne sailing weather”, for the much anticipated “Round Island” race.

Another great start with partly cloudy skies, 15 knots of wind directly from the northeast and choppy wind-waves to half a metre.

A beautiful day for yacht racing in Kuah Harbour with clear skies and wind from the ENE ranging from 10 knots at the start of the first race to 20 knots by 1130, then falling away in later races.
