Jelik and Hi Fi rock Quantum Racing

Three-time champions Quantum Racing of Australia were rocked yesterday as rivals Jelik and Hi Fi stormed back into strong contention for honours in the Royal Langkawi International Regatta.

Jelik, skippered by Hong Kong’s Frank Pong, won the third and fourth races to move up from fourth to share the top spot with Hi Fi and Quantum Racing in the standings on nine points.

Hi Fi with Kiwi skipper Neil Pryde chalked up two second-place finishes yesterday forcing Quantum Racing into third place twice.

Quantum Racing, skippered by Australian Ray Roberts, were expected to pick up from where they had left off in the Phuket King’s Cup and the first two races here on Tuesday but yesterday’s results threw the race for the Prime Minister’s Challenge Trophy wide open.
