Royal Langkawi International Regatta 2009 - day 4
Day four - The participants heading for the outside waters of Langkawi for a series of races that began at 9.30am. The Racing, Premier Crusing and Sport Boat Classes would be running three times around a Windward-Leeward set up, while the IRC, Multihull and Club Cruising Classes would sail out farther into open waters. All initial starts in all classes were called clear.

The first day of racing took place in Bass Harbour with good winds from the northeast giving the Racing Class a close start. Zuhrah, the Malaysian Farr 52 boat skippered by Mohd Razali bin Mansor closely followed Hi Fi (Neil Pryde) and Yo!2 (Peter Ahern) tacked clear early on. The rest of that fleet headed on in towards land before coming over.
