Albert Cheah, the man behind the lens, has been official photographer at Royal Langkawi Yacht Club events for the past five years. His company is Virtual Image Studios based in Kuala Lumpur.

Jane Clarke jumped at the chance to write for 'The Langkawi Eagle', especially when she heard she would be issued with a party pass for the regatta!

Richard Blair, who did the race reports, has a travel magazine and production company, Adlib Productions, in Singapore and keeps his yacht in Langkawi. He is currently writing novels.

Gary Savage wrote Yachting Jottings at The Kings Cup Regatta and for Phuket Magazine. Semi-retired at 46 he splits his time between the UK and Asia, with music, writing and sailing.

Inka Astrid Kachel, besides the occasional beer, likes all kinds of water sports, in particular sailing and diving. To make her hobbies affordable she became a sports journalist!

Publisher of The Eagle for two years now, Tim Wight is a long time resident of Langkawi and can usually be seen behind the counter of his yacht chandlery, Peninsular Yachts.
