Sue & Brian Berger are first timers to the BMW Royal Langkawi Regatta. Sue is one of the friendly faces at the Skipper Bag Counter while Brian is crewing on Switch Blade.

They began sailing with charter boats in Greece, Turkey and the Caribbean whilst living in Egypt. They bought Ika Rere, a Hartley Fijian 43ft, twenty years ago and have done many a nautical mile in her.

They left New Zealand in 2000 and sailed the Pacific, enjoying an extended stay in Australia, even taking in some of the interior! In July 2004 they made their way through Indonesia, Singapore and the Malacca Straits arriving in Langkawi in November.

Unfortunately, Ika Rere, was in Telaga Harbour Marina on December 26th, so for the time being Sue and Brian are 'land dwellers' and plans for where they head to next are on hold.
