Ulumulu Cruise to Victory on First Day of Langkawi Race

Langkawi, 14 February 2006 - Ulumulu skippered by the King's Cup 2005 winner Ray Roberts of Australia, cruised to victory on the first day of the Royal Langkawi International Regatta (RLIR) 2006 at the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club (RLYC) here yesterday.

Ulumulu finished the race in 3'06:25 to overtake the Swedish yacht, Ericsson (V060), steered by Thomas Blixt.

Ericsson reached the finishing line 26 seconds later while Mahligai finished third in 3'10:32 to collect three points.

Zuhrah, owned by the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN), was fourth in 3'19:21.
